Wise words. I think it's a common myth that 'proper writers' find it easy to make time for their writing. I love the mosaic method too - reminds me of the wonderful Annie Dillard who in her book 'Bird by Bird' compares writing a novel to driving in the dark - we can't see the whole way but the headlights allow us to see far enough to get a little bit further, and we make the whole journey that way...
Good to see you back, Jacqui!

Oh, I love that book too! The mosaic metaphor occurred to me when I was considering studying mosaic (which segued into simple drawing and painting in the end). But yes, for me this is central, being able to move foward without seeing the whole and this not mattering at all. It's faith, isn't it?
